The Alonissos Marine Park and Northern Sporades was established in 1992. The area is accessible to visitors with respect for the protection regulations and its unique ecological value.

The Mediterranean monk seal Monachus monachus
The Park area is an important habitat for the Mediterranean monk seal Monachus monachus and many other species of terrestrial and marine fauna.
